The perfect holiday destination

A much loved family home with stunning views across to the Montagnes Noires and Spain. The house is situated 15km from Revel, voted one of the prettiest covered markets in France, 30km from Castelnaudray and the Canal du Midi.  Litrone is on an ancient pilgrimage route, with the 12 Stations of The Cross and 3 Chapels sitting above you. Equidistant from Toulouse and Carcassone airports (60km).  We are happy to collect guests from the airports.

Location: The Languedoc is steeped in history, with endless fields of vines and sunflowers, the impressionist painters got much of their inspiration locally. Albi has the largest brick built Cathedral in France and was the home of Toulouse Lautrec. There is a Goya Museum in Castre. Cezanne, Van Gogh and Gauguin all painted in this area. Numerous bastide towns provide much to see and do. Carcassonne is the largest medieval fortress in France, a city steeped in history with Michelin restaurants and endless boutiques. Litrone is 1.15 hours from Leucate, the longest sandy beach in South West France, with a fabulous beach bar/restaurant/loungers, well worth a visit. We can provide guides, drivers and suggestions for days trips.

For golf lovers, Palmola, a Championship golf club ( top 10 ten course in France) is a mere 45 minute drive. Golf Club de Juillac a 34 minute drive and Le Domaine Golf Estolosa is the same.

Whether you are looking for total relaxation or an active holiday walking or biking, Litrone provides all the answers. You can improve your french, learn to paint, enjoy art history, take cooking lessons, daily in-house yoga or learn bridge, we can help with all of this. Litrone is very popular for long term rentals with guests wanting to entertain their family and friends in comfort and luxury, whilst exploring the area. The house and grounds are very private and our dedicated staff will organise all your needs. We have an in-house masseur and a spa 2kms away with a variety of treatments.

The great Tour de France often passes within several miles of Litrone and if cycling is your passion, this is the perfect place to be!

Litrone Staff ensure high standards and attention to detail, making your holiday perfect in every way. Our housekeeper is bilingual, and willing to help with any requests, restaurant bookings/outings. There are many seating and dining areas outside, where you will basque in the glorious views. Breakfast is a buffet, lunch and dinner are served and the table lay-ups change twice daily.

Sleeps: Max 16 people (12 adults and 4 children) in 2 double bedded rooms en-suite, 1 double & 1 twin with shared bathroom, 1 double, 1 twin, 1 twin bunk room with 2 camp beds, a small bathroom/sep WC. There is a ground floor shower/WC and additional WC.

Inside: The drawing room has an integrated bar, and opens onto a billiard room and comfortable TV viewing area, complete with Sky TV and all the sports channels.  A modern open plan kitchen with dining areas, together with a second  kitchen to accommodate small children, are thoughtfully designed and well equipped. There is sitting room with desk area and wifi though out the house. A downstairs shower room with WC and an additional WC. All bedrooms are on the first floor and come fully equipped with hair dryers, dressing gowns, slippers and a wide range of toiletries. The playroom sleeps 6 children and has toys and games for every age. We have a cot, stair gate and other paraphernalia for small children, please ask. We can also provide nanny services, again please ask.

Outside: There is a large heated swimming pool with electric cover and 10 double loungers, ample pool towels, hot tub, ping pong table and children’s play area. A large cabana for shade provides ample space for relaxation, reading and cocktails. There is a outdoor music system provided. Pool toys for children. The paddle tennis court comes with all bats and balls, 2 basketball nets and football goals. Badminton sets, various bikes and many other amusements are available. The garden has numerous fruit trees particularly figs, an ample herb garden with fresh mint, vervain, and sage for tea.
